ABOUT US - Who we are

CRF was established in April 2000 to process and value-add lamb and veal. Just 2 hours from Melbourne's CBD, CRF overlooks the spectacular Lake Colac.  With a population of more than 12,000 Colac is ideally situated in Victoria's premier farming country and just 40 minutes from Victoria's stunning Great Ocean Road and Surf Coast.

CRF was established on a greenfields site and funded by a small group of individuals who were committed to establishing a technologically advanced and sustainable food processing facility in Colac.  CRF is an excellent example of what a good idea and a lot of hard work can achieve for a regional area.

Recognising that CRF would be entering an extremely competitive, high cash-flow and capital intensive business it became imperative that the foundations on which CRF was to be built would need to be innovative and different from the traditional 'meatworks'.
   
CRF (Colac Otway) has been established to set an industry standard and be an industry leader in the Australian lamb processing sector. The future for our company is exciting and dynamic and the comprehensive and integrated approach to process and quality control, and environmental and economic management will deliver benefits to customers, employees and the community.
